The COVID-19 pandemic is having a devastating impact on businesses across the world. Many are closed while others are struggling to maintain operations while ensuring the safety of their workers. IPS Business School has organized webinar highlighting how businesses from different sectors have been impacted by the crisis but are also adapting their business practices to withstand the economic consequences of COVID-19. Resource person was Mr. Anand Kushwaha, Regional HR Manager, Samasta Microfinance Ltd (An IIFL Group Company). He addressed with practical guidance and tools to Business Management students, Business leaders, Budding Managers and Entrepreneurs enabling them to emerge more resilient in recovery. He shared how leaders behave during critical moments leaves a lasting mark on their companies and people. It was very significant to understand the importance of consistent and effective communication and interaction with employees can strengthen the company and enhance its culture. He also mentioned that since organizations have been shifting to more remote work operations and exploring the critical competencies, employees will need to collaborate digitally at present time.

Speaker emphasized MBA and BBA students that they can choose accredited certificates, diplomas or research degrees and add a new qualification online or they can browse for more field-specific options on career websites. Students can also attend online webinars to expand their skill set and learn valuable information that they can bring back into the workforce, from overcoming negative thoughts to becoming a better leader. He acknowledged students with their business knowledge and communication skills, they might land some interesting engagement at a newspaper or online publication where they can let their niche knowledge shine.
