STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCE MANGEMENT !

It may sometimes get difficult to look beyond the rule enforcing, survey conducting and administrative mask that HR usually has to wear. It cannot be denied that HR department in essence exists for the maintenance, support and development of employees, but if a gap is noticed between the goals of an organisation and its human resources, then this gap can be bridged with the help of Strategic Human Resource Management. Careful reorientation of roles and responsibilities of HR department can result in a workforce that is well equipped and supremely capable of steering the organisation towards goal attainment.

All the functions remain the same, the organisations just need to ensure is that every HR policy or plan is aligned with overall strategy of the business. Any strategy, however unique and well intentioned it may be, will deliver desired outcomes only if it is in sync with the core business requirements and objectives. Mimetic HR strategies are riddled with uncertainties and just imitate the trends and hypes, therefore are of little to no help. A whole hearted and integrated inside out approach is required, with full conviction that the starting point of organisational success are its inimitable human resources.
