IPS BUSINESS SCHOOL organized a webinar on ‘How to register a Startup: Entrepreneurship and Government Policies’, on 28th May, 2020. Resource person was Mr. Ravi Raizada, Founder Center for Business & Technology’. Startups are becoming very popular in India. In order to develop Indian economy and attract talented entrepreneurs, the Government of India, under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi, has started and promoted Startup India initiative to recognize and promote startups. Rajasthan is being home for entrepreneurs and innovative thinkers. Millions of young minds with brilliant idea, new age thinking and extraordinary skills are ready to take ahead the startup drive. Leveraging this quality of business-brains of the state, Department of IT&C conceptualized an integrated startup platform called, iStart Rajasthan. A startup is a newly established business, usually small, started by 1 or a group of individuals. What differentiates it from other new businesses is that a startup offers a new product or service that is not being given elsewhere in the same way. The keyword is innovation. The business either develops a new product/ service or redevelops a current product/service into something better. New government measures applicable for startups and support provided by the Chamber of Commerce were the two main themes of this webinar.
