IPS BUSINESS SCHOOL organized an interactive alumni talk featuring Virender Singh (Area Sales Officer at Reliance Retail) and Anjali Murary (Management Controller at BRG Financial Services). Indeed, it proved to be an enriching experience for current students to learn directly about the ways of corporate life, and how the transition from student to professional takes place.

Both of them shared their experiences and pointed out how they faced challenges and ultimately won. They mentioned that academic excellence should be maintained while seeking internships to get practical exposure. Virender Singh emphasized the development of a good work ethic and a continuous learning attitude. Anjali Murary underlined the essence of building a strong network and maintaining a positive attitude.

They further advised students on how best to balance academics and extracurricular activities, internships, and personal development. They explained the basic skills highly needed in the contemporary labor market, like good communication, problem-solving, and teamwork. They have also added the importance of preparation for an interview through drafting an appealing resume, practicing common interview questions, and researching into the company.

The students were at will to ask questions and interactively discuss several important things with the alumni. The event has provided an ample opportunity to get first-hand information on the corporate world and thus develop a clearer understanding about the career path for the aspiring professionals.
