MBA faculty is expected to perform four roles — teacher, researcher, consultant, and trainer. These roles are intertwined and are expected to be complementary towards the main goal of being in the business of professional MBA education.
In the initial stage of business education, the concentration was on teaching or making others learn after being learned one-self. Since subjects and content were evolving, it was emphasized to prepare technical/academic notes to prove that one clearly understood the content being delivered in the classroom. Then it was realized that to make MBA a professional qualification, different pedagogies were required. ‘Case method’ came up as the most important pedagogy as against the scholarly ‘lecture-cum-discussion method’.
Today, the need is to have an integrator who can bring research, teaching, consulting and training skills to deliver a truly professional MBA education.
IPS COLLEGE, Jaipur being a fore-runner in the gamut of Management Education, Research and Training, has been a torch-bearer in pursuing the role of an integrator among its hugely experienced tem of Faculty members.
IPS COLLEGE, Jaipur comes together with a resounding Congratulatory Note for its erudite innovator, sought after management consultant, popular research guide and corporate trainer Dr. Ashish Sharma, who is also our Strategic Head and Associate Director for adding one more feather in his very accomplished hat on being the Chief Facilitator in the Workshop on “Administrative Effectiveness in Cooperatives”, organized by Institute of Cooperative Management, Jaipur.
Many Congratulations Sir!
